‘Potential new firefighters are being invited to put themselves through their paces at a series of recruitment activity days.
Cumbria County Council’s Fire and Rescue Service is looking for more than 40 new firefighters at 25 stations across the county and as part of this recruitment drive is inviting people interested in the roles to have a go at some of the physical tests candidates are required to pass.
On-call firefighters provide life-saving capabilities in their communities and can earn around £6,000 a year.
Recruitment activity days are taking place at Coniston on April 14 from noon-2pm and at Kendal on April 17, from 11am-1pm.
