A TRAINEE mental health nurse from Cumbria has made it to the national finals of the Caremaker of the Year awards.
Jennifer Rawles, from Kendal, is in her third year as a mental health nurse at the University of Cumbria and has been on placement with the mental health teams from Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
Jennifer decided to forge a career in mental health nursing after being saddened by the care her grandmother was given for dementia. She was determined to make a difference and was thrilled at the opportunity to become a caremaker.
