TWO thousand people from across the country will be putting themselves to the test over a military inspired obstacle course in Eden at the weekend. Lowther Castle will host the second Born Survivor event on Saturday in which participants pit themselves over a challenging obstacle course designed by elite armed forces personnel. The 30 purpose-built obstacles have been set out over a ten kilometre course which will challenge the stamina and strength of competitors. Matt Leigh, from Born Survivor, described the course as ‘a bold twist on a tried-and-tested formula.’ He added that it had been designed to be very tough with teamwork being an essential ingredient for success. “Those who finish will certainly deserve to wear their Born Survivor T-shirts, headbands and dog tags with pride,” said Mr Leigh. Born Survivor is an official supporter of charities Unique Kidz and The Soldiers Charity.
