THE British Heart Foundation shop in Kendal is urgently appealing for local people to volunteer.
The charity says it is in desperate need of ‘volunteer drivers’ to collect donations in the local area, as well as sales assistants.
Manager Karla Earp said: “Our volunteers are at the heart of the charity and we simply wouldn’t be able to continue our lifesaving work without them. We appreciate every minute people can spare and to show how grateful we are, we also hope to give something back.”
For further information contact Karla Earp on 01539 728660 or email K03@bhf.org.uk or pop in to 30 Highgate Kendal, LA9.
Coronary heart disease is the UK’s single biggest killer and every day its shops sell 90,000 items, with help from over 20,000 volunteers.
