ELEVEN sheep have been stolen from a field near Kendal.
Police said the Swaledales were taken from a field at Durham Bridge, opposite the Lyth Valley Hotel, between March 14 and April 1.
Officers said the offenders used a 4x4 or tractor and had farming knowledge because they picked the best sheep.
The sheep are tagged and have blue marking between the shoulders.
Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
