DREAMFIRED Storynights brings Belgium's most popular storyteller to Helsington and Brigsteer Village Hall on Friday (April 11).
Where many storytellers play with traditional fairy tales or ancient myths, Fred Versonnen creates his own tales, often with historical inspiration.
And there’s more to Fred than just telling tales – he used to work as a hospital clown and will prove it at Arnside on Saturday (10am-1.30pm) as he leads a Clowning for Storytellers and Others workshop.
The event at Arnside EI is all about engaging with an audience and making connections - not about red noses – for performers who want to build audience rapport.
Places are limited and advance booking is essential via katq@swirlofstories.org or call 07891-487375.
