KENDAL residents are being given a chance to tell their childhood stories for a new book.
Kendal: In Their Own Words will be published by Heritage Publications, which is based in the town.
The publisher said it was a chance for people to tell the story of their childhood and youth growing up in and around Kendal.
A spokesperson said: "Could you, in your own words, describe your school days, the streets and people around your home, the shops and shopkeepers, dance nights out, and your early days of work?
"In return for your time and stories, you will receive a free copy of the book once it has been published."
