A FREE copy of a book called ‘Why Have Adventures' is to be distributed to every senior school in Cumbria.

It has been wriiten by Sam Sykes who is the founder of a Cumbrian-based Duke of Edinburgh expedition company.

Mr Sykes is director and founder of Sam Sykes Ltd, one of the country's top providers of the Duke of Edinburgh's award at bronze, silver and gold level.

He and his team have been delivering professionally led expeditions across the UK and overseas for more than 40 years.

Sam says his book explains his own personal outdoor experiences and what he has taught young people, ‘the incredible lessons they have learnt and inspiration gained from the outdoors’.
