AN ‘elderly’ motorist was released from her vehicle by firefighters after the driver’s door impacted during a collision in Ulverston.
Two fire engines attended the incident on the A590 at Newland at around 12.10pm on Tuesday.
Firefighters used specialist equipment to remove the driver’s door.
The incident involved a Citroen C4 driven by a 77-year-old woman from Millom, who is believed to have had three passengers, and a Ford Focus driven by a 32-year-old man from Barrow.
All five people involved in the collision were taken to Furness General Hospital with minor injuries.
