INSPIRATION and ideas for the big day were on offer today (April 13) at the Westmorland Gazette's spring wedding fair.

The Royal Hotel in Kirkby Lonsdale played host to the show which was expected to attract more than 100 people.

Ten businesses catering for the perfect wedding day were exhibiting at the restored Georgian town-house hotel.

These covered everything from dresses and jewellery, to cakes, venues, photography and more.

Lancaster-based Butterfly Bridal were promoting their wedding and bridesmaids' dresses, and grooms outfits.

Susan Nicholls, of Butterfly Bridal, said: “These wedding fairs are essential for business.

“Here we have our clothes which are all from three handpicked designers, and they're all very popular.”
