A WOMAN may have suffered a heart attack while on a Lake District fell above Patterdale.

The 52-year-old was with her husband at Thornhow End yesterday (April 13) when she started feeling unwell and ‘very’ cold.

Two passing walkers came across the couple at 5.30pm and ran to Patterdale to seek help.

A landrover carrying Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team members reached the casualty within 10 minutes.

The woman was taken to the team’s centre where she was assessed by a land ambulance crew.

The rescue was completed in 20 minutes.
