CARTMEL Village Society and Cartmel Priory School have worked together to provide an external defibrillator for the village.
The purchase was prompted by a fund-raising initiative by Grange Community First Responders to buy a number of defibrillators for local groups and businesses.
At the installation, head teacher Dr Paul Williams thanked everybody involved in getting the equipment up and running and explained how funding from the village society enabled the fitting of a box on an outside wall.
