A DATE has been set for the inquest of a zoo keeper who was mauled to death by a tiger.
Sarah Louise McClay, 24, was attacked at South Lakes Wild Animal Park, Dalton, in May last year.
At the time Cumbria Police said the Sumatran tiger, called Padang, escaped from its pen to a staff area of the enclosure where it attacked Ms McClay.
She was dragged by the tiger into its enclosure before the animal inflicted fatal head and neck injuries on the former pupil of Dowdales School.
The jury inquest, to be held at Barrow Town Hall, will begin on July 14 and is expected to last three days.
