A 51-YEAR-OLD walker fell and broke her arm while walking in the Lake District on Saturday.
The woman was with members of her family and was returning from the summit of Great Gable when she slipped and fell.
The Great North Air Ambulance was called and flew to a point very close to the casualty.
She was able to walk to the aircraft, and was flown to West Cumberland Hospital for treatment.
Members from Keswick Mountain Rescue Team also assisted.
