Peter Allan and Sophie Cade
SOPHIE Cade, Nurture Lakeland’s sustainable development manager, is one of two new government-appointed members of the Lake District National Park Authority.
Ms Cade, who has a background in teaching and working with young people, said she was keen to promote diversity and access for all.
Also appointed is 17th generation Cumbrian hill farmer Peter Allen, who farms at Bampton Grange, near Penrith.
He has chaired and served on many local, national and EU committees, including National Farmers Union, Natural England and the North West Development Agency.
