Janet and Gordon Cooper
A COUPLE who came to Windermere on honeymoon in 1954 returned for their Diamond Wedding – and stayed in the same room.
Janet and Gordon Cooper, aged 79 and 82, from Kent, visited the Oakbank House Hotel on April 11, 1954 and wanted to retrace the steps of their honeymoon, exactly 60 years ago.
Mrs Gordon said: “It’s wonderful - apart from one or two new buildings it hasn’t changed.”
