RECRUITMENT professionals from a Kendal company visited the town’s college and hit the streets today (April 30) to help students and young people with careers advice.

Staff from Adecco, an employment services company based on Lowther Street, took part in the recruitment giant’s national ‘Way To Work’ campaign to help young people improve their employability.

In Kendal, it included branch manager Ramona Mulligan and senior permanent recruitment consulant Adam Stephenson, hosting a series of workshops at the college’s Learning Centre.

Mrs Mulligan said: “We are reaching out to young people and assisting them with CV tips, interview coaching and presentation skills for getting into the workplace.”

Nationally, over 550 recruitment advisors from Adecco - the UK’s largest recruiter - hit the streets and visited schools, colleges and universities to help young people.

Job seekers were offered expert advice on improving their CVs, brushing up on their interview techniques and learning more about the application process.
