Criminals stole two vehicles in a daylight raid in Sedbergh and left a trail of destruction through neighbouring towns.

Police are hunting the thieves, who snatched a pick up truck and a quad bike in Middleton at 2:30pm on Wednesday, April 30.

The green Mitsubishi L200 truck and the red Honda Foreman 500 quad bike caused extensive damage to walls and gates as they were driven through Marthwaite.

The pick up truck was found abandoned in Marthwaite and the quad bike emerged near the Lowgill Viaduct.

Police are searching for the occupants of a blue Ford Mondeo who were seen in the area at the time of the incident.

Anyone with information should contact Barrow CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800555111.
