EIGHT high-value power drills were stolen from a DIY store in Kendal, said police.
Officers said the Makita 18v rechargeable lithium drills were taken from B&Q, Burton Road, at around 6pm on May 2.
The estimated value of each drill is £102.
CCTV footage shows a man who police wish to speak to regarding the incident.
It shows a white male wearing a dark coloured coat, a white scarf and glasses.
Police said the man is seen to conceal the drills under bags in a shopping trolley before removing the security tags and either passing them to an accomplice or throwing them over the wall of the adjoining garden centre.
