THE Inner Wheel Club of Windermere held its 50th charter lunch at the Hydro Hotel.
Ninety guests, including district chairman Heather Randall, members from clubs across the North West and Windermere Rotary President, David Fletcher, attended.
An enthusiastic talk entitled ‘Pearls around the World’ was given by Frances Benton, who also showed exquisite pearls for members to see, feel and purchase in aid of her charity to help street children in Durban.
President Elizabeth Bayley led members through a year of charity activities, social events and community service.
Originally Inner Wheel was the club for spouses of Rota-rians – but now any women who would like to join the group are welcome.
