ENSIGNS have been unfurled and standards raised in Ulverston for the town’s annual flag festival.
Made by children 15 years ago, the colourful flags decorate shops and businesses in the town centre during the annual two-week event.
Organiser Ralph Spours said: “Everybody loves them because they’re made of shimmering fabrics. They are terrific and we really would like to add more and more so that the whole town could be ablaze with glorious clolours.”
The flags will fly high until this coming weekend.
