THE Great North Air Ambulance ‘Pride of Cumbria’ was tasked to the medical practice in Hawkshead today when a patient with chest pain was diagnosed as having a heart attack.
The 79-year-old local woman was treated at the scene and then flown to Blackpool Victoria Hospital for specialist cardiac care.
The flight took 15 minutes.
