RESIDENTS of Kendal’s Hallgarth estate now have access to a lifesaving defibrillator.

The equipment was donated by the local lodge of the RAOB after member John Pedder saw a campaign mounted by Kendal Town Councillor Matt Severn.

Coun Severn is now asking for residents to come forward to let him know where it should be placed.

Kendal Town Councillor Matt Severn said: "It's fantastic that we have been able to get this for our community and I'd like to thank John Pedder and the local R.O.A.B lodge for the donation.

“If it saves even one life, it will have been absolutely worth it.”
