A FELLWALKER suffered a fractured ankle and was flown to hospital from a Lake District peak.
Patterdale Mountain Rescue team, which covers 140sq km of the highest land in England, called 12 members out to the incident, with help from Penrith MRT.
It happened on High Dodd, above Boredale Hause at approximately 3.10pm on Thursday.
The man had been walking with his partner and was treated before being flown to the Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle for further treatment.
