A MAN sustained chest and hand injuries after a gun exploded at the Warcop range.
Emergency services were called to the incident at 11.30am on Saturday.
The man, aged 45, from Aberdeen, was treated at the scene by North West Ambulance Service paramedics and the Great North Air Ambulance Service doctor and paramedic.
He was then transported to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle by land ambulance.
His injuries were described as ‘superficial’.
