Pregnant woman struck by hit-and-run driver, say police

A PREGNANT woman received hip injuries after she was struck by the wing mirror of a hit-and-run driver yesterday (Friday).
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which is said to have occured at around 3.45pm on Duke Street in Barrow-in-Furness.
Cops said the female was in the carriageway attempting to enter her own car when she was struck.
The driver of the car, described as a light blue Vauxhall Astra, then drove away.
