Windermere car ferry back in action following £300,000 refit
WINDERMERE'S Car Ferry was due back into the water today (Saturday) after a £300,000 refit.
Mallard has had improvements made to its engines and electricals and has also benefited from a re-paint.
The ferry, which can carry 18 cars and more than 100 passengers across England's largest lake, has been out of action since late April.
