A GIRL was rescued from a Lake District fell yesterday (May 29) after she became dizzy.

The 12-year-old was walking on Place Fell, above Ullswater, when she fell dizzy while out walking with a group from Outward Bound Ullswater.

Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team were called out at 3.15pm by Cumbria Police to help assist in the rescue.

The girl was assessed at the scene and transported on a stretcher down to Sandwick where she joined her friends.

The three hour rescue was carried out by eight team members.
