A METRE long scratch was gouged into a car in Kendal.

The white Hyundai was parked in the South Lakeland District Council car park on Busher Walk when it was scratched down the driver's door panel.

Cumbria Police said the damage caused by an 'unknown offender' happened between 9am and 2.30pm yesterday (May 30).

Anyone with information is asked to call non-emergency 101 and ask for PC Helen Addison 1774 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Seems to be a common occurrance in Kendal, tyres slashed, cars kicked dented and scratched. Now if we had CCTV we could maybe catch them,when they do, I might start to park and shop in Kendal
