A PENSIONER was unable to walk and left with head injuries after falling 20 metres down a Lake District Fell yesterday (June 1).
The 72-year-old was walking with his wife from Threshwaite Mouth to Thornthwaite Beacon, to the west of Haweswater, when he fell and injured his head, knee and hand.
The man, from Somerset, was unable to walk and Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team was called out to help at 2.30pm.
