THE sun shone as competitors and spectators descended on Killington for its traditional annual sports day.
Although all events had a good level of entries, the most popular were the fell races which received more than 200 entries.
Other events included field-running and Cumberland & Westmorland wrestling.
There was also the more unusual events such as three-legged and sack races, pillow fights and egg throwing.
βIt was great to see so many regular participants returning again to compete for the various trophies and the money prizes generously funded by our many sponsors,β said organisers.
Organisers also thanked the local sports committee for the preparation of the field and organisation on the night, John Capstick for the loan of his field and Killington Marquees for the tents.
