FOUR men have been arrested after a brawl at Bootleggers Bar, Kendal, over the weekend.

Police were called at 12.50am on Sunday (June 8) to reports of an altercation at the Finkle Street venue.

An 18-year-old man from Milnthorpe was arrested on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm.

An 18-year-old man from Sedbergh and a 23-year-old man from Kendal were both arrested on suspicion of affray.

The Sedbergh man was taken to Royal Lancaster Infirmary with serious injuries after being hit across the back of his head with a glass.

All three men have since been bailed until July 19.

A 19-year-old man from Kendal has since been arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm.

He is currently helping Police with their enquiries.

He was taken to Royal Lancaster Infirmary at the time with serious injuries.

Detective Constable Jon Hill said: “We appeal to anyone who witnessed the altercation to get in touch.

"The bar was busy at the time of the incident and we would really like to speak to witnesses to assist with our investigation.”
