A MAN was airlifted to hospital after falling from a ladder at Knock, near Appleby, yesterday afternoon.
A Great North Air Ambulance doctor and land ambulance paramedics treated the 62-year-old for head and back injuries before he was flown to Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.
His condition was later described as stable.
