The Ulverston Inshore Rescue Team pulled out all the stops to track down a missing woman.

They received a call from Cumbria Police at 2:15pm asking for their assistance to find a woman who was last seen in the Aldingham area.

Both hi-tech quad bikes and one boat were scrambled.

They teamed-up with the Furness Coastguard, Millam Coastguard, Barrow Lifeboat Team and Liverpool Coastguard during the search.

The woman was found safe and well on a beach near Barrow at 3:30pm.

Craig Sim, of Liverpool Coastguard, said: "It was very good in the end, everyone did their jobs and on this occasion we found the missing person in a good condition."
