POLICE have warned motorists in Ulverston to expect disruption ahead of the Carnival Parade.
The annual event will take place on July 5 and most of the town will be involved in the celebrations.
Starting at 1pm at Ford Park and Hart Street, the parade will travel right to Fountain Street before passing through Sun Street, Stanley Street, Mill Street, King Street, Queen Street, New Market Street, Market Street and Union Street.
Road closures and parking restrictions will be enforced between midday and 4pm.
In order to minimise trouble, Ulverston's Town Centre has been designated an alcohol free zone for the event.
Sergeant Rupert Johnston said: “We are looking forward to what should be a great parade and ask that members of the public enjoy the event responsibly.
"We hope that members of the public work with us in order to make sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable afternoon.”
