Head to Windermere this weekend for Summer Solstice Race
WINDERMERE Canoe Kayak, based on Ferry Nab Road, will host its annual Summer Solstice Race this weekend.
This year’s event is to be turned into more of a weekend paddle sport festival.
The race, held on Saturday, involves paddles of all abilities completing the full length of Windermere, and is open to an array of craft, from surf skis to canoes.
There will also be a demo event down at Fell Foot Park, near Newly Bridge, over the weekend.
