SOUTH Lakeland District Council is holding a free business and networking event at Kendal Town Hall on Thursday July 3.
Doors will open from 5.30pm for networking, buffet and registration and the event will start at 6pm.
Topics will include retail within the wider role of town centres by Chris Wade, Chief Executive of Action for Market Towns).
There will also be a talk on town centre consumers and how people shop by Cathy Hart of Loughborough University.
Other issues on the agenda include retail markets within the north west and running a retail store in South Lakeland.
There will also be an update on the Kendal Business Improvement District by its chairman, Dan Morley of Beales.
