MEMBERS of the public will get the chance to vote on who should represent them on local health issues.
NHS Cumbria Clinical Commissioning (CCG) has received six applications from people wanting to become a 'lay representative' for the Furness area.
The vote will take place at the' Furness Listening Event' at The Forum, Barrow, this Thursday June 26 from 6pm.

Dr Arabella Onslow, of NHS Cumbria CCG Furness, said: “The Lay representatives will help the GPs and managers in Furness understand what the public’s priorities are and to scrutinise the processes involved in health care delivery."
Anyone who wishes to vote or wants to have their say on local NHS services and share their experiences is welcome to the event.
The event is in collaboration with University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust (UHMBT)and NHS Cumbria CCG.
