CAT lovers were left purring with delight after the annual Lakeland and District Cat Show.
A staggering 276 felines attended the event at Kendal Leisure Centre on Saturday, June 21.
The Gazette can exclusively reveal a Persian cat won it by a whisker.
The contestants, both moggies and pedegrees, were judged according to the strict Governing Council for Cat Fancying guidelines.
Edward Irving, Show Manager at the event, said: βIt was good to see so many people coming through the door to show off their cats.β
