POLICE are appealing for information after thousands of pounds worth of property was stolen from three businesses at the Lake District Business Park in Kendal.

Police said the first two burglaries occurred between 1pm on May 5 and 7am on May 6 where over £2,500 worth of computers and tools were stolen.

The third burglary took place between 9pm on June 20 and 8am on June 23, where over £1,300 worth of computers and cash were stolen.

On all occasions the offender has removed a pane of glass to gain entry, said police.

PC Kath Aubrey said: “I would urge anyone who has any information, or witnessed any suspicious activity in the Lake District Business Park area, to get in touch. We are investigating these burglaries thoroughly and are asking the public to help us to track the offenders, and return any property to its rightful owner.

“I would also encourage any businesses in the area to ensure they are securing their property effectively. Crime prevention measures can help prevent incidents occurring and help aid recovery of any stolen property.
