POLICE are appealing for information after a man was assaulted outside a hotel in Morecambe.

Lancashire Police said the incident happened at around 8.15 pm on Saturday June 14.

The victim, a 56-year-old man from Morecambe, was assaulted by three youths outside the York Hotel on Lancaster Road.

He was punched repeatedly in the head and received swelling and bruising to his face, said police.

Police would like to speak to three people in connection with the incident.

They are described as: A 16 year old white female who was dressed in white, 5’8, medium build with long straight dark hair.

A 16 year old white male who was wearing a grey t-shirt and shorts, 5’10, thin to medium build with short blonde hair.

A 16 year old white male who was wearing a blue t-shirt and dark shorts, 5’8, smaller build with short dark hair.

PC Joanne Clement from Morecambe Police said: “This was an appalling attack on an innocent man."

“I would appeal to anyone with any information about this incident or anyone who may recognise any of these individuals from the descriptions given to get in contact with us.”
