A DRINK driver who collided into two parked cars in Low Bentham has been banned from driving for 23 months.
James Chappell, 25, was more than twice the legal limit when he drove his Volkswagen Polo into the cars parked in Low Bentham Road on May 17, Skipton magistrates heard.

Police called out to the collision at around 1am noticed he smelled of alcohol, and took him to the police station where he was found to have 91 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
The legal limit is 35.
Chappell, of Burrow, near Kirkby Lonsdale, admitted the offence. He told magistrates he was very sorry, apologised to the owners of the two cars and said he had done nothing like it before.
He was banned from driving for 23 months, fined £650 and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victims surcharge of £65.
If he completes a drink drivers rehabilitation course, his ban will be reduced by a quarter.
