PUB operator JD Wetherspoon is to open its new pub in Penrith on Tuesday, July 8, with the creation of 45 new jobs.
The company has spent £1.5 million developing the outlet, on the site of the former Toppers nightclub, in Southend Road.
The Wetherspoon pub, which will be called The Dog Beck, will be managed by Cheryl Woodhouse.

Several properties form the amalgamation that is now The Dog Beck, having previously been a Grade II listed building and a former mineral water house.
The new pub will be open from 8am until 12 midnight Sunday to Wednesday and 8am until 1am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Food will be served throughout the day, until 11pm every day.
The Dog Beck will specialise in real ales, serving a wide range of beers, including those from local and regional brewers.
The new-look pub will feature one bar, as well as two beer gardens, one on the ground floor, where smoking will be permitted in a designated area, and one on the first floor featuring a living wall.
Photos, local history, artwork by local artists, as well as information boards relating to events, historical buildings and characters of the area will be displayed in the pub.
Manager Cheryl Woodhouse said: “Myself and my team are looking forward to welcoming customers into the pub and we are confident that it will be a great addition to the Penrith community.”
