TWO Cumbrian towns are hosting a free ‘world class’ photography exhibition this summer.
Over 100 stunning images of the UK’s wildlife and natural habitats will be unveiled in Barrow and Grange-over-Sands.
The images are part of the ‘2020VISION Roadshow’ which has been described as the most ambitious nature photography project ever staged in the UK.
Over a 20-month period, top nature photographers, Andy Rouse and Joe Cornish, have worked alongside filmmakers and sound recordists, capturing some of the UK’s unique landscapes.
MORE TOP STORIES:
The Barrow exhibition opens tomorrow (July 1) and runs until Saturday August 2 and then in Grange-over-Sands from August 5 until August 29.
The Barrow exhibition will be a street exhibit outside The Forum in Duke Street, and a venue has yet to be confirmed for the exhibition in Grange.
Richard Greenwood, of Cumbria Tourism, said: “This is an inspiring body of work, which shows off the beauty of some of our unique habitats.
"It is more than fitting that the exhibition is visiting both Barrow and Grange, especially as some of the images taken in Cumbria were shot on the fringes of Morecambe Bay, where both of these towns sit.
"I’ve no doubt that people will be inspired and captivated by the 100 images set to go on display.”
Victoria Hall in Grange will also host ‘The Vision Theatre Show’ on Thursday August 21, at 7.30pm.
It will provide a fascinating insight into the project and is hosted by photographer, Peter Cairns.
Tickets cost £8 (£6 concessions) which are available from Grange-over-Sands Visitor Information Centre or by calling 015395 34026
