THE Cartmel Village Society has embarked on an oral history project to record residents’ memories for future generations.
Volunteers will be interviewed in an informal setting, with the recorded interview and a transcript the basis of an archive.
The theme of the interview may be general or could focus on a specific area of interest or knowledge such as agriculture or architecture.
The CVS intends to create an archive of recorded interviews and transcripts with a view to making them publicly available.
