AN afternoon tea party hosted by gran Pauline Hutchinson at her Milnthorpe Road home raised £688 for the Rosemere Cancer Foundation at Preston.
Fifty guests were served home-made scones, sandwiches, fruit loaf, flapjacks, brownies, gingerbread, shortbread, and cakes.
Mrs Hutchinson, former catering manager at the RSPB Leighton Moss, learned of the foundation after her sister, Valerie Stirling, of Bamber Bridge, got lung cancer.
