THE North West Air Ambulance Charity, which provides emergency medical care from the air, is urgently calling for volunteers to help raise vital funds at Booths Supermarket in Kirkby Lonsdale.

It needs people to spare two hours to help raise awareness of its work and collect donations at the store on July 19.

The volunteers will act as an ambassador for the charity on the day and will be supported by charity staff, as well as receiving an overview of the work beforehand and a branded t-shirt.

The charity’s helicopters fly 365 days a year, with the doctors and paramedics on board providing rapid treatment and hospital transfers to patients across the entire North West.

The charity is completely reliant on public and corporate donations to keep both of its helicopters operational and helping to save lives.

Anyone interested in volunteering, please contact Wendy Askew or Louise Lloyd at the North West Air Ambulance Charity on 0800 587 4570.
