Sam Abdollahian, sales executive of the Gazette, gets into Independents' Day 2014
KENDAL’s independent businesses were celebrated at the weekend as Westmorland Gazette’s staff took to the streets to promote local retailers.
The team, being led above by Sam Abdollahian, handed out balloons and free re-usable bags filled with exclusive special offers and discounts to tempt shoppers into Kendal’s many family-run stores and retail outlets.
Independents’ Day aims to champion the diversity of unique and quality goods in the region and was supported by 16 of the town’s businesses.
