A PUPPY and a parcel of clothing were stolen from a Grayrigg farm between 1.30pm and 4.15pm on Monday.

The puppy was a 12-week-old black Lakeland Patterdale with tan coloured legs and a white spot on its chest.

Police have said a white van with tinted windows was seen leaving the area.

In a further theft earlier that day, fencing and a Husqvara chainsaw were taken from a farm at Garsdale, Sedbergh between 9.20am and 1pm.

A white van - possibly a Citroen or Peugeot - with tinted windows was seen heading towards Sedbergh.

Police are not linking the two thefts at this stage but say speaking to the driver of the van is a priority.

Anyone with information should call 101 and ask for PC Benjamin Lawson at Kendal Police Station.
