PLANS for a 250kw wind turbine at Israel Farm, Lawkland, have been turned down by Craven District Council.
Planners felt the turbine - measuring 45m to its blade tip - would have ‘a detrimental impact on the character and appearance of the surrounding countryside and setting of the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’.
